Crestron\'s Integration Award
11/22/2010Integrated Environment\'s Crestron Partner S3 of Park City, UT wins the 2009 Crestron Integration Award in the category of “Awesome Adagio.” This is the second consecutive year to be awarded a Crestron Integration Award, and first win in this category. In 2008 S3 won the “Biggest Baddest Home” award.
Crestron Electronics announced the winners of its fifth annual Integration Awards at CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association) in Atlanta, Georgia on September 16th, 2009. The Crestron Integration Awards honor the achievements of residential dealers who have integrated Crestron home technology solutions.
Adagio® is a stand-alone Crestron home entertainment system and the Awesome Adagio award recognizes the dealer that best integrated the system into the provided space. The winning S3 installation is in a 6,000 square foot luxury penthouse in Salt Lake City, UT. The newly renovated space features Georgian-style architecture, large windows, and spectacular aerial views of the city.
The biggest challenge was transforming the family room with floor-to-ceiling windows into an entertainment room, without ruining the ambiance. A 7.2 surround sound system was placed in the ceiling and a 50\" plasma display was installed on a swing mount hidden in the ceiling. With the press of one button on the TPMC-8L touchpanel, the ceiling opens to reveal the TV, which unfolds and rests right above the fireplace. The shades are programmed to move automatically throughout the day to manage the abundance of natural light.
